Emberlight · Saturation
Saturation that shows you every harmonic it adds.
Emberlight renders the harmonic series it is generating — fundamental to the fourteenth — as columns of ember light with incandescent tips. You see the color while you add it.

Reference render — Sonaurelis Visual Standard v2.0
- Every generated harmonic drawn live, F through 14
- Odd and even structure visible at a glance
- A gold onset line marks where clipping actually begins
- Live THD readout — measured, not modeled
The hero display
Watch the color arrive
Drive the input and the bloom answers: each generated harmonic rises as a luminous column, odd and even structure plainly visible, tips glowing hotter as they grow. Saturation stops being a mystery box — you watch second and third harmonics trade places as you bias the circuit.
A gold dashed saturation onset line marks where the current drive begins clipping your actual signal, with a live THD figure beside it. Hover any column and it reports the harmonic number and its level, measured from the real output.
Beneath the display, the audition rail keeps judgment one click away:

The expert drawer
Bias, hysteresis, air guard — one key away
Press E and the full plugin slides out — Circuit (bias · harmonics · hysteresis), Spectral (low focus · high focus · air guard), Level (input · comp · auto level) — each parameter a knob with its exact value in a chip beneath it. The macro band and meters stay live while it is open.
Hidden, never removed: every parameter stays automatable and preset-addressable whether the drawer is open or closed.
- Oversample 4×
- DC Guard
- Mid Focus

Truthful by construction
Distortion character as a number
The rail’s drive-energy meter carries an even/odd balance caption and a live THD percentage — the character of the distortion stated plainly, not left as a vibe.
Suite-wide rule: every moving pixel traces to real telemetry from the plugin’s own DSP. No decorative spectra, no idle animation imitating signal. When nothing plays, the displays hold their calibrated scales at rest — never a synthetic waveform.
